| A nice Honda Goldwing at a great price! I have been using this Goldwing as a daily rider since the end of October. With 68K miles, it starts right up and the engine runs very well. The transmission feels crisp and strong, the clutch cable has been lubed and adjusted. The brake calipers and the master cylinder have been cleaned and flushed. The tires are new. Everything works! In the nice to have area, the full Vetter fairings really have made the difference since the temperature has dropped. Between the fairing and the engine cylinders near your feet, it is a pleasure to ride day or night. The windscreen is in good shape with good optics. As this is an earlier Goldwing, it is one of the lighter ones ever made as Honda has added more and more features over the years which has increased the weight. Because of the lighter weight, it's not as tough to maneuver. It's a very comfortable bike as the seat feels good and it's in great shape. There are forward mounted highway pegs mounted on the crash bars. NOTE: None of the Vetter bags and the glove compartment cover have working locks. Additionally, one of the guide posts on a rear bag is missing (photos below). Craig Vetter recommends getting jeweler cabinet locks (set of 6) with a matching key to refit the locks. Some machine shop work will need to be done on the broken post and some of the hardware that attaches to the locks will have to be made - not hard. Most of the hardware is there to use as templates. The bag mounts are there and you can mount the bags but not lock them in place. All of the plastic is in good shape. Goldwings have a tremendous reputation for reliability and a ton of capability. These motor is very smooth and the bike accelerates fast enough for any traffic situation you'll encounter. Come by and see a nice Goldwing today at a great price! |
